Ladies in underwear
This is one of the illustrations I did for a style guide for plus size women "Pralle Prinzessinnen" (chubby princesses) by Tine Wittler, a German author, decorator, TV-show-Host, designer ... and probably a lot more.
This illustration introduces the four Body-types the book is working with, the X- A- Y- and O-Type.
Can you see I had fun designing the underwear?

Tribute to Jean Charles de Castelbajac
I (and quite a few people on deviantart) really loved the panda dress from the last post, so I did a little research on it. It is from Jean Charles de Castelbajac's latest collection called "once upon a time", which I totally love. The designs are superfun and very 80's without really being retro. You can check it out here I'm sure you'll agree with me that this guy has an amazing sense of design and humor.
Oh,and I did many many sketches for this, but this one is the final sketch:

nude undies
Since about two years there is this weird fashion color called nude, which means that it's similar to the color of white skin. I never really liked it to begin with, but lately it struck me: Isn't the name of the color pretty racist? Not only is white skin seen as default, but all the other skin tones are ignored/ erased. There is to much racism and sexism in language already, do we really need to create more of it? I don't think there was some evil racist mastermind at work, probably nobody even thought about this correlation when the term was created, but to me this ignorance is pretty bad too. I really love fashion, but it bugs me how the fashion world on the one hand struggles to be taken serious, while on the other hand acts totally irresponsible.
